Fundraising Manager
Emerge poverty free has recently completed a major rebrand and name change which is already proving beneficial and we now seek an experienced fundraiser to maximise current income streams and, more importantly, achieve growth in our major donor and corporate fundraising programme. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a fundraising strategy and have verifiable success in personally generating new income from new corporate and major donor contacts. The candidate will also work with the Programme Director in managing applications to Trusts and Foundations.
You must have a proven record of charitable fundraising and marketing. Good interpersonal and communicating skills are essential and you should have proven ability to inspire and motivate target audiences.
You will work closely with our programme managers to generate funding for specific overseas projects and with the marketing team who oversee our general donor income. You will be directly responsible to the Chief Executive Officer.

The position is based at our office in Central London.
• Current experience in fundraising with proven income over at least a two year period.
• Innovative and creative approach to fundraising.
• Experience of developing corporate and major donor contacts.
• Ability to propose, agree and manage a fundraising budget.
• Provide evidence of practical experience in successful fundraising strategies and programmes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Evidence of public communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work with our programme department and a bid writing consultant to produce grant funding applications to Trusts and Foundations.
• Have a good understanding of the overseas development and relief sector
• Have understanding and experience of Direct Marketing.
• Flexibility in work patterns ( Some UK events and meetings and potential overseas travel will be within the job remit)
